The National Recreation Area includes approximately 20 miles of trails within Cobb County. These include: Cochran Shoals/Sope Creek, West Palisades/Paces Mill, Johnson Ferry South, Johnson Ferry North, and Gold Branch. A great side trail runs along Rottenwood Creek up to the Galleria area. It's a nice hike out the river under I-75 and beyond.
